"Jane Doe in Wonderland" Play

Partner: Jane Doe in Wonderland 
When: March 2018

YES had the amazing opportunity to partner with Jane Doe in Wonderland to help bring their incredible play to Portland and Newberg, Jane Doe in Wonderland is a survivor-led performance and community talkback raising awareness on domestic sex trafficking.

U.N. Youth Dialogue Conference

When: March 2018

YES board members Kara, Angela and Emma had an amazing experience at the U.N. Youth Dialogue conference in New York City. The theme was inclusion of women from rural communities. They were able to meet other young change-makers and come together to hold important discussions. They enjoyed meeting influential women from around the world who are creating positive change in their communities.

Chapter Conference 

When: February 24th, 2018

We had a very successful chapter conference full of great discussions. We talked about the work chapters doing, brainstormed events, and discussed solutions to problems chapters face.

"The Chocolate Case" Documentary Screening 

Partner: Tony's Chocolonely 
When: February 4th, 2018

YES had the amazing opportunity to partner with Tony's Chocolonely to screen the documentary "The Chocolate Case" which explores the issue of slavery in the chocolate industry and highlights Tony's work towards 100% slave free chocolate. After the screening, representatives from Tony's hosted a Q&A. 


The Art of Advocacy
